Mail Services
Fort Valley State University’s Campus Post Office and Central Receiving handle all incoming, outgoing, interoffice mail, and packages for faculty, staff, and students. Services include box rentals for individuals and departments, complete window service, and regulation of all bulk rate mail produced on campus. The staff is dedicated to serving the needs of the campus in an accurate and timely manner.

Post Office: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

- Service Window: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Central Receiving: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

STUDENT MAILBOX REQUESTS
Students can request a mailbox buy submitting the form below. You must be a registered student, and must have all of your fees paid before a mailbox will be issued to you.

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS
- The post office is opened during holidays, but does not receive incoming mail from the U.S. Postal Service.
- Central Receiving Package pick-up is available on these holidays, if FVSU is open.

PRODUCTS & SERVICES
- Visit the city’s U.S. Post Office for stamps, money orders, stamped envelopes, and USPS Express and Priority mail envelopes
- If a customer has a pre-paid label for UPS or FedEx packages, we will ship it for the customer. Shipping document forms can be picked up at Central Receiving or the Office of Procurement. Departments must set-up an account through the procurement office.

FACULTY AND STAFF PACKAGE PICKUP/DELIVERY
Fort Valley State University’s mail services (Campus Post Office and Central Receiving) delivers packages sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS); certified and registered mail requires a signature. When Central Receiving receives your package, you will receive an email notification from Pitney Bowes. Please wait until you receive an email notification to pick up your package.
If your package is too large to carry, please SUBMIT a work order request to Facilities Management for package delivery.
To track a package, make sure that you know the basic shipment information, particularly the Tracking Number provided by the shipping agent, and click on the appropriate link below. If you had FVSU’s postal services perform the shipping or mailing and did not receive a tracking number but did request one, please call us with the mail date and destination and we can track your item.

MAILING DEADLINES
Complete packages must be at our Campus Post Office at the following times:
- Outgoing mail must be in the mail room before 2:30 p.m. or it will not be mailed until the following business day.
