Marketing and Media Agency

MMA (formerly known as the Media Team), is an extension of the FVSU Office of Marketing and Communications, comprised of students. Through MMA, FVSU students get hands-on, real world experience in marketing, branding, social media strategy, journalism, photography, videography and public relations. 

 

MMA is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Content creator – Utilizes writing, graphic design, visual storytelling, or a combination of these disciplines to make any topic relatable and interesting to the consumer or audience. A content creator produces relevant content monthly, weekly, and even daily.

Social Media Strategist – Utilizes big-picture thinking, as well as detail-oriented execution. Ultimately shape brand messaging through social media and leverage that messaging to grow an audience, make connections, and improve brand image.

Journalist/reporter – Narrate or write news stories, reviews, or commentary for print, broadcast, or other communications media such as newspapers, magazines, radio, or television. May collect and analyze information through interview, investigation, or observation.

Copy Editor – Read transcript or proof type setup to detect and mark for correction any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors. Excludes workers whose primary duty is editing copy. Includes proofreaders of braille.

Graphic Designer – Design or create graphics for specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos. May use a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects.

Photographer – Photograph people, landscapes, merchandise, or other subjects. May use lighting equipment to enhance a subject's appearance. May use editing software to produce finished images and prints. Includes commercial and industrial photographers, scientific photographers, and photojournalists.

Photo Editor – Assess photos to identify which areas need retouching, accept client requests, remove blemishes, adjust the brightness or sharpness, crop or re-size the images, and change color temperatures.

Videographer – Operate television, video, or film camera to record images or scenes for television, video, or film productions.

Video Editor – Edit moving images on film, video, or other media. May work with a producer or director to organize ideas for final production. May edit or synchronize soundtracks with images.

Project Manager - Manage project issues and changes, ensuring satisfaction and successful project completion. Assign tasks, monitoring team member performance. Communicate Marketing and Communications staff expectations with team.

Audio Engineer - Assemble and operate equipment to record, synchronize, mix, edit, or reproduce sound, including music, voices, or sound effects, for theater, video, film, television, podcasts, sporting events, and other productions.

Writer - Write content for various publications and channels, such as websites, pres releases. blog posts, external communications, emails, or newsletters.
