Federal Work Study Interest

Federal Work-Study Program 

The Federal Work-Study Program is a type of federal financial aid. A portion of the student's salary are paid by the federal government, and the remaining is paid by the university department employing the student. Wwages a student earns through this program are excluded as income for purposes of financial aid need assessment in subsequent years. Earnings from the Federal Work-Study Program must be reported on the following year’s FAFSA to avoid being penalized for those earnings.
