Professional Advising Mentoring (PAM) Network

Network uses professionals in various fields to mentor students and help them understand how their chosen majors prepare them for sustainable careers and professional fulfillment. Students also study the career outlook for the professions related to their majors, engage in industry- related site visits, and prepare for internship opportunities.

The University College is actively recruiting professionals willing to mentor new freshmen beginning in Fall (August) 2018. To become a part of the PAM Network, please complete the online form.

The PAM Network seeks to accomplish the following objectives:

  1. To encourage first-year students to make informed choices about their academic majors.
  2. To connect self-motivated students with experienced professional mentors who will help them explore connections between their chosen academic majors and careers associated with those majors.
  3. To assist with first-year student retention by providing students an academic pathway that aligns with their professional interests, reducing the chances of changes in majors.
