The Social Work minor is a declared secondary academic discipline designed to enhance the overall learning and professional training of students. The complimentary certification of the minor provides additional understanding about social work as a professional field. Topics covered in the course load include the person-in-environment concepts, specialized skills in mental health, and professional/ethical standards. The acquired skill set is applicable in a number of settings including education, management, business, etc.
