Aquaculture
Demand for fish and crustacean products exceeds what can be produced from natural sources. Significant opportunities exist for small and larger landowners to launch enterprises in the aquaculture area of business. FVSU maintains the Georgia Center for Aquaculture Development, which offers training courses and maintains demonstrations and prototypes of various systems to be seen and considered.
Activities include:
- Fish disease diagnosis
- Aquatic weed management
- Freshwater shrimp management
- Water quality and fish health maintenance
