Vonda M. Easterling, Ph.D.
Meet the Dean of Students
Dr. Vonda M. Easterling serves as the Dean of Students at Fort Valley State University, where she is dedicated to fostering a supportive, engaging, and inclusive campus community that promotes student success both inside and outside the classroom.
With nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Easterling has held leadership roles in student affairs, housing and residence life, enrollment management, and student success. She is committed to student advocacy, crisis response, leadership development, and creating meaningful opportunities that empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
As Dean of Students, Dr. Easterling oversees student conduct, campus life, health and wellness, and residential life initiatives while working collaboratively with campus partners to enhance the overall student experience. She believes every student deserves the opportunity to thrive and is passionate about connecting students with the resources they need to succeed.
Dr. Easterling holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership and is honored to serve the Wildcat community with integrity, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.
