FVSU President Paul Jones Joins Alumnus Thomas Dortch Jr. Today in Closing Bell Ceremony at NYSE

Fort Valley State University (FVSU) President Paul Jones, Ph.D., will join the chairman of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., and FVSU alumnus Thomas W. Dortch Jr. for ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Monday, October 24.
“I am honored to join FVSU alum Thomas Dortch Jr. and the 100 Black Men of America for the NYSE ringing of the bell,” said President Paul Jones, Ph.D. “The work and contributions of 100 Black Men have a significant impact on minority youth around the nation, and I am excited to commemorate the work of Chairman Dortch and this organization.”
The New York Stock Exchange welcomes executives and guests of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. in celebration of the 37th year of their mission and contributions to America.

100 Black Men was founded as an organization in New York City in 1963. The national organization, 100 Black Men of America, Inc., began with nine chapters in 1986 as a national alliance of leading African American men of business, public affairs, and government with a mission to improve the quality of life for African Americans, particularly African American youth.
