Protect Yourself and Others
Posted on Jul 30, 2020
Dear Wildcats,
As FVSU plans for the return to face to face instruction in the fall, there is no higher priority than the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff. FVSU needs everyone to do their part to keep our campus communities and visitors safe. As a reminder, if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or if you believe you are sick, please stay home.
-
Employees who have symptoms should notify their supervisor and stay home.
-
Sick employees should follow CDC-recommended steps. Employees should not return to work until the criteria to discontinue home isolation are met, in consultation with healthcare providers.
-
Employees who are well but who have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 should notify their supervisor and follow CDC recommended precautions.
-
CDC recommends wearing a cloth face covering as a measure to contain the wearer's respiratory droplets and help protect their co-workers and members of the general public.
As a reminder, effective July 15, 2020, University System of Georgia (USG) institutions will require all faculty, staff, students, and visitors to wear an appropriate face covering while inside campus facilities/buildings where six feet social distancing may not always be possible. Face covering use will be in addition to and is not a substitute for social distancing.
Face coverings are not required in one's own dorm room or suite, when alone in an enclosed office or study room, or in campus outdoor settings where social distancing requirements are met.
Anyone not using a face covering when required will be asked to wear one or must leave the area. Repeated refusal to comply with the requirement may result in discipline through the applicable conduct code for faculty, staff or students.
Stay Safe, Stay Well On Campus
