Four Fort Valley State University agricultural economics students recently shared their past summer experiences studying abroad and interning at large corporations.

Junior LaShombria Ellerbee discussed her trip to Honduras in 2017. Senior Justin Hubbard presented on his internship with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Minnesota in 2017.

Also working in Minnesota, junior Adelia McKinley interned at the Land O’Lakes Inc. headquarters in 2017. Senior Sadiyyah Muhammad interned at the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) station in Maryland in 2015.

The students expressed how fortunate they were to travel, gain work experience and learn about other cultures.

For more information about studying abroad or internship opportunities, contact Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, coordinator and associate professor of the agricultural economics program, at (478) 825-6815 or ibrahimm@fvsu.edu.
