Rebecca Horton

Rebecca Horton is the procurement director at Fort Valley State University. In this role, she oversees purchasing policies and implementation and other forms of resources acquisition. Prior to joining the Fort Valley State University staff, Ms. Horton served as purchasing director and college/university procurement officer (CUPO) position at Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Georgia. Before accepting her position at Middle Georgia College, she worked as purchasing manager at Mohawk Commercial Carpet in Dublin, GA and materials manager at Hollingsworth and Vose in Hawkinsville, Georgia.

Ms. Horton is a Georgia Certified Purchasing Associate (GCPA), Georgia Certified Purchasing Card Administrator (GCPCA), and Georgia Certified Purchasing Manager (GCPM).She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia College and State University.
