Dear Wildcat Family,

In response to the uncertainty involving COVID-19 and ongoing feedback from public health officials, we have made the difficult decision to suspend Fort Valley State University's Fall Homecoming 2020 festivities until next year. Our "Homecoming in the Valley" was scheduled for Oct. 18-24 and is one of the most anticipated events of the year. While we understand it will be disappointing not to unite on our beloved campus, the Homecoming Committee's primary concern is to ensure the well-being of our FVSU Family, the surrounding community, and those beyond our borders.

By suspending this event and all associated activities, we are doing our part for the common good to reduce the spread of this pandemic. Together, we will come through this unprecedented challenge stronger than ever before.

We ask for your ongoing support and encouragement to navigate all the unknowns that may come with this public health crisis. Our challenge as a Wildcat Family until 2021 is to continue pressing forward towards the future and finding innovative ways to strengthen our bonds through the available virtual options.

In Wildcat Spirit,

Dr. Bridget Holyfield-Moss, Homecoming Committee Co-Chair

Dean Wallace Keese, Homecoming Committee Co-Chair

Alexander Lowe, SGA President

LouAnn Gross, FVSU National Alumni Association President
