Fort Valley State University

Lead from the front. Excellence always.

As a commissioned Officer, you not only lead by guiding, problem-solving, and planning future missions, but you are also entrusted with making decisions that can influence events on a global scale. Such as lead with authority and respect, utilize your leadership, skills and expertise, execute real-world missions and train and mentor junior Soldiers

Professionals with ROTC training are invaluable to various organizations, both military and civilian. They develop leadership skills that prepare them for roles such as military officers, strategists, operations managers, defense analysts, security specialists, logistics coordinators, and leadership consultants. Many ROTC graduates go on to commission as officers in the Army, demonstrating their capability to lead in high-stakes environments. ROTC students at Fort Valley State University can pursue leadership training alongside their academic degrees. The program includes coursework and training in military science, tactics, leadership development, physical fitness, and field exercises, preparing students for both military service and civilian careers.
