Responsibilities: 

The Assistant Professor and Teacher Educator of Family and Consumer Sciences will teach family and consumer sciences education courses; supervise student practica; teach other courses as assigned; advise students; work in the interdisciplinary context of family and consumer sciences as a part of the University’ teacher education thrust.

Qualifications: 

Minimum of Master’s degree required, Doctorate preferred. At least three years of experience teaching vocational home economics. Must meet Georgia State Department of Education criteria for teacher educators in family and consumer sciences (home economics). Specialization in Family and Consumer Sciences Education (home economics education) with supporting work to teach in additional family and consumer sciences area(s) as needed, preferably management/housing.
